A lot is going on in the Seattle-area bagel scene.

I bet that’s a sentence you never thought you’d read. Trust me, I never thought it would be something I’d be able to write when I started the newsletter.

But as my readers know, a lot has happened in Western Washington in the last two years when it comes to bagels and schmears. And it turns out we’re not done yet.

Since my return from Japan, I’ve been rounding up all of the bagel news I can find. We’ve got new bagel shops, new locations for expanding bagel businesses, and some upcoming arrivals to keep our eyes on.

Without further ado (or any ado, really), let’s run down everything you need to know about the state of Seattle-area bagels (paid subscribers get all the deets).

Sixth Borough Bagels has been on my review list for some time, but if you wanted to find them you had to visit one of the retailers in Olympia. That’s all changing soon as they announced a few months back that they would be opening their own storefront in town. Now it looks like they’ve got a logo.

No specifics are available beyond that other than saying “Look for us on the west side this spring” in the initial announcement. I’m excited to finally go check these bagels out soon as the photos look really solid.
